A visualisation of the Monthly Live Register figures from the CSO dating between January 2007 to September 2015. The amount of people signing on for Social Welfare has long been an indicator of the health of an economy and data contained within these graphs run parallel with Ireland entering the final months of the Celtic Tiger in 2007 to the height of recession in 2010 to the slow economy recovery the Country is currently experiencing in 2015.
Additional graphed data shows the percentage change of people on the Live Register from the initial recording in 2007. This data highlights the massive increase of those registering in 2008 and 2009 to reaching its peak period in 2010 and 2011.
A Seasonally Adjusted Standardised Unemployment Rate graph is also included with data going back to 1983. This data shows perspective on the 'boom/bust' nature of the Irish economy over the last thirty years through the amount of people who are registered as Unemployed.
