Map of the Unemployment Rate at Electoral Division level for the South-East region of Ireland, 2011. This map was produced as part of an OECD study of socio-demographic variables for the South-East. More details on the study are available on the OECD website.
This map illustrates the unemployment rate in Ireland in 2011. The map is based on 2011 Census results for the RoI and mapped at the Small Area level.
This map was produced to support initial workshops for the National Planning Framework in June 2016. The image contains a national map showing the distributions of the unemployment rate for Small Areas (SAs) across the country. To provide further clarity of distributions within the five national cities we have also included a series of inset maps.
The data used in this map is also available in our national census mapping viewer which was developed in collaboration with the Central Statistics Office (CSO). This toolkit provides detailed national level visualisation of 130+ variables (raw counts, percentages, ratios) under various themes such as housing, population and health. To access the digital interactive mapping tool please visit the RoI 2011 Census Mapping Viewer.
